Paris Jackson Demands $600M From Michael Jackson Estate
Paris Jackson has filed a new Los Angeles court petition demanding $600 million in distributable cash be transferred from her father’s estate into a family trust. Filed October 29th, the petition accuses estate executor John Branca of maintaining an “iron grip” over the late pop star’s assets. Paris’ attorneys argue Michael Jackson intended his children to become caretakers of his legacy, but Branca controls when funds reach beneficiaries. The estate countered that disputed trusts cannot be funded until ongoing IRS litigation is resolved, noting over $200 million has already been distributed. The estate also stated Jackson’s will prevents children from receiving distributions before age 30. The filing escalates a yearlong feud between Paris and Branca, who has grown the estate from roughly $500 million in debt to over $2 billion in value.
