Neve Campbell Confirms She Will Return For ‘Scream 8’

Neve Campbell confirmed Monday she will reprise her role as Sidney Prescott in Scream 8. The actress revealed the news to the Associated Press while discussing upcoming projects. “I can never tell you anything about Scream 8,” she said, adding with a laugh, “I’ll be in it!” Campbell has anchored the franchise since the original 1996 film, skipping only Scream 6 due to salary disputes. She returned for Scream 7, released in February, which became the highest-grossing installment, earning $208 million worldwide on a $45 million budget. Director Kevin Williamson confirmed he will not write or direct Scream 8, stepping back to focus on other projects.
