Netflix Unveils Kids Slate, New ‘Sesame Street’ Film In Development

Netflix announced its preschool and kids slate, highlighted by a new Sesame Street film currently in development. No details were disclosed. The last Sesame Street feature was 1999’s The Adventures of Elmo in Grouchland. Netflix and Sesame Workshop also extended their series deal through Season 62. The Gabby’s Dollhouse universe expands with companion series Doozie’s Doghouse, premiering November 9th, and holiday special Gabby’s Dollhouse: Makers and Bakers on December 9th, featuring judges Aidy Bryant, Justin Willman, and Melissa Villaseñor. New preschool series Puppy Pirates was announced with a TBA premiere date. Bad Dinosaurs was renewed for Seasons 2 and 3. Three new Netflix Playground games were also announced, launching later this month.
