Tate McRae Says Her Political Stance Is ‘Pretty Obvious’ To Fans

Tate McRae has addressed online speculation labeling her a secret MAGA supporter, largely stemming from her Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 duet with Morgan Wallen. In a new Variety interview, the Canadian pop star said she expresses her values through supported organizations, including the Global Fund For Women and The Trevor Project (which supports LGBT youth). “I think it’s pretty obvious what kind of person I am,” she said. McRae also revealed she is already working on her fourth album, having returned to the studio in February with songwriters Amy Allen and Emilie Haynie. Meanwhile, she made history at Montreal’s Osheaga Festival on August 1, becoming the first Canadian to headline the event since Arcade Fire in 2022, before closing out Lollapalooza in Chicago the following night.
