FIFA revealed Thursday that Shakira, Madonna and BTS will headline the first-ever World Cup final halftime show. The performance takes place July 19 at New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium during the tournament finale. Chris Martin of Coldplay will curate the show, with Global Citizen producing the event. The performance benefits the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, aiming to raise $100 million for children’s education and football access worldwide. One dollar from every World Cup 2026 ticket sale contributes to this fund. FIFA President Gianni Infantino called it “a historic moment” and “a show befitting the biggest sporting event in the world.” The 2026 World Cup begins June 11 in Mexico City, spanning the US, Canada and Mexico.
