Conan O’Brien Will Return To Host 2027 Oscars For Third Consecutive Year

Conan O’Brien will host the 99th Academy Awards, returning for the third straight year, the Academy announced Tuesday. The ceremony airs live March 14, 2027, on ABC and Hulu from the Dolby Theatre at 7 p.m. ET. Academy CEO Bill Kramer and president Lynette Howell Taylor praised the team’s “captivating, entertaining and heartfelt shows” from previous years. After O’Brien’s second hosting stint in March, Disney executive Rob Mills told Variety they wanted him back. “Conan is host for life, yes,” Mills said. O’Brien, who hosts the popular Conan O’Brien Needs A Friend podcast and HBO’s Conan O’Brien Must Go travel series, has won six Emmys with 33 nominations.
