TNRD puts one property on evacuation alert due to nearby Lower East Adams Lake fire

KAMLOOPS — A wildfire in the Adams Lake area has led to an evacuation alert for one property.

The Thompson-Nicola Regional District has put the property in the vicinity of McLeod Point on alert, meaning its occupants should be ready to leave on very short notice. The property is in the TNRD’s Electoral Area ‘O’ (Lower North Thompson).

The B.C. Wildfire Service lists the nearby Lower East Adams Lake wildfire as 60 hectares, which has not grown since Wednesday.
