KAMLOOPS — A snowfall warning is in effect for the Coquihalla Highway from Hope to Merritt.
In an online weather statement, Environment Canada says nearly 20 to 30 centimetres of snow is expected for the stretch of Highway 5 from Thursday (March 2) morning until noon Friday.
The weather agency says it’s due to a frontal system that will move in from the north. Snow will intensify this morning before easing to flurries Friday near noon.
Residents are asked to adjust their driving with changing road conditions. Visibility may also be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow.
