KAMLOOPS — The City of Kamloops is adjusting some of its services for the federal holiday to mourn for Queen Elizabeth the Second next Monday, September 19.
In a news release, the City says it observes federal holidays, but it’s difficult to change some services with such short notice.
Most non-essential services will be suspended Monday and most City facilities will be closed.
Garbage and recycling will be collected as normal on Monday; the Mission Flats and Barnhartvale landfills will remain open while the Resource Recovery Centre in Valleyview will be closed.
The Tournament Capital Centre, Westsyde Pool and Fitness Centre, and City arenas will all be open. City recreation programming will be provided as scheduled.
