Salmon Arm RCMP seeks identity of armed robbery suspect

SALMON ARM — Salmon Arm RCMP is looking for a suspect involved in an armed robbery on August 25.
Roughly after 7:30 p.m. RCMP responded to a call about an armed robbery.
The man reportedly asked the victim for a ride to a local store and asked the victim to stop the vehicle shortly after starting the drive.
The RCMP release states the driver was then threatened with a weapon by the man as he demanded money.
“After taking the driver’s wallet and car keys, the suspect fled the area. Fortunately, the driver suffered no injuries and his vehicle was not taken,” the release reads.
RCMP says the man is in his 30’s and has short black hair.
