Violent confrontation in Valleyview stemmed from road rage incident: RCMP
KAMLOOPS — A road rage incident escalated into a weapons complaint in Valleyview Wednesday (Aug. 17).
In a news release, Kamloops RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Crystal Evelyn says officers were called to a fast-food restaurant parking lot in the 1700-block of the East Trans Canada Highway Wednesday at about 1:25 p.m.
Witnesses said a man and woman had been chasing each other with weapons.
“Officers located those involved, both of whom were uninjured, and as part of their investigation, determined the incident started as a result of a road rage incident,” said Evelyn.
Mounties spoke to both of the participants at the scene. They were released pending the investigation’s conclusion.
