BC Transit bus routes moving to summer schedule in Kamloops
KAMLOOPS – As part of the response to COVID-19, public transit service in Kamloops is switching to the summer operation schedule today (Apr. 5).
Given the pandemic situation, BC Transit and the City of Kamloops have adjusted some aspects of bus travel already – riders now load from the back doors, the number of passengers on board has been limited, and fees have been waived to reduce contact with drivers.
According to BC Transit, the summer service adjustment will also allow for more physical distancing opportunities on public transit.
As part of our continued response to COVID-19, effective today, April 5, @BCTransit and the City are implementing summer service levels. The change reflects the current service levels needed while still allowing for physical distancing onboard. Details at https://t.co/rANxaUmPko. pic.twitter.com/Cof4btW5dS
