Employee who left Sun Peaks has tested positive for COVID-19: Resort

SUN PEAKS, B.C. – Sun Peaks Resort says one of its employees who recently left the mountain to return home has tested positive for COVID-19.
In a news release, the resort says it feels it’s important to share these details as part of its role in community well-being.
The person was a Sports School instructor and lived in staff accommodation at Black Bear Lodge.
Their last day of work on the mountain was March 16. They left Sun Peaks on March 19 to travel to Australia.
The positive test was confirmed on March 24 after arriving in Australia.
