KAMLOOPS – The B.C. Wildlife Park is latest Kamloops venue to close its doors to the public in light of the COVID-19 global pandemic.
In a news release issued Monday, park management said the decision to close was a difficult one.
General Manager Glenn Grant says the park was proactive in closing many indoor spaces, but due to the severely diminished revenue from visitors, it can no longer “bear the financial pressures” of staying open.
Grant says the public can be assured the animals at the park will continue to receive outstanding care during the closure.
