Former Disney child star Erik von Detten, best known for voicing Sid Phillips in Toy Story, faces a lawsuit alleging he defrauded an elderly couple of nearly $900,000. Sheila Greenberg, 85, and her husband Norman, 97, claim von Detten and his employer, precious metals dealer Rosland Capital, persuaded them to invest over $2 million in gold coins worth significantly less than they paid. The couple says their $2.1 million investment was valued at just $1.3 million. Their dealings allegedly began in 2020 after responding to a Rosland television commercial. Von Detten reportedly assured them of his expertise before guiding their purchases. Rosland Capital has since filed for bankruptcy. The allegations have not been proven in court.
