Nick Reiner Indicted For Murder In Deaths Of Parents Rob, Michele Reiner
Nick Reiner has finally been indicted on two counts of murder for the stabbing deaths of his parents, director Rob Reiner and wife Michele Reiner, who were found dead at their Brentwood home on December 14, 2025. The indictment, which was returned July 20th and unsealed on Wednesday, includes special circumstance allegations of multiple murders and murder by means of lying in wait, plus use of a deadly weapon — a knife. Reiner pleaded not guilty yesterday and remains held without bond. A pretrial hearing is set for September 15th. The night before the killings, Nick had argued with his father at a holiday party. “This was a profound betrayal by someone who was loved and trusted,” said District Attorney Nathan Hochman. If convicted, Reiner faces death or life without parole.
