KAMLOOPS — Emergency crews appear to have made quick work of a small brush fire along the riverbank on Tranquille Road Saturday (March 22) morning, though details remain limited at this time.
It appears that the fire was sparked by a cigarette butt behind the former Sandbar Grill, though Kamloops Fire Rescue has not confirmed those details to CFJC Today.
Kamloops RCMP Staff Sgt. Darren Dodge told CFJC that officers were called around 2:36 p.m. Saturday to manage traffic, and that they’ve cleared the scene.
There are no reports of any damage to the building and no reports of any injuries as well.
CFJC Today has reached out to Kamloops Fire Rescue for more information and will update this story if more information is known.
