Tiger Woods Faces DUI Charges Following Florida Rollover Crash Category Icon
Tiger Woods faces DUI charges after a rollover crash Friday in Jupiter Island, Florida, with authorities releasing his mug shot. The Martin County Sheriff’s Office reported Woods’ Land Rover attempted to overtake a truck at high speed, clipping a pressure washer trailer when the truck slowed for a driveway. Woods’ vehicle rolled onto its side, and he escaped through the passenger door. Sheriff John Budensiek described Woods as “lethargic on scene” and showing “signs of impairment.” Woods passed a breathalyzer test but refused urinalysis in jail. He faces two misdemeanors: DUI with property damage and refusal to submit to lawful testing. This marks Woods’ second DUI charge following a 2017 incident where he was found asleep in his car with painkillers and sleep drugs in his system. In 2021, Woods suffered multiple leg injuries in another rollover crash.
