BTS achieved their seventh Billboard 200 number-one album with Arirang, recording the largest sales week for any group in over ten years. The release generated 641,000 equivalent album units in its debut week, including 532,000 pure album sales. This marks the strongest opening week by units since Taylor Swift’s The Life of a Showgirl exceeded four million units last year. For pure sales alone, Arirang represents the biggest week since Showgirl sold 3.48 million copies. One Direction’s Midnight Memories previously held the group record with 547,000 sales in 2013. Vinyl contributed with 208,000 copies across 17 variants, making it the sixth-largest vinyl week in modern tracking.
