Jennifer Hudson will produce Broadway’s first Dreamgirls revival in 39 years, premiering this fall. “Twenty years ago, my life changed forever because of a film called ‘Dreamgirls,’” she said in a statement. The revival will feature direction and choreography by Camille A. Brown. Casting has not been announced, but producers plan worldwide auditions for “talented women of all shapes and sizes.” The original Broadway production opened in 1981, running nearly four years and earning 13 Tony nominations with six wins.
