KAMLOOPS — A Kamloops man accused of killing his mother almost two years ago has decided to be tried by a judge and jury.
Brandon Donovan was arrested and charged with second-degree murder last September. His mother, 57-year-old Jo-Anne Donovan, was last seen alive on March 13, 2023. Her body was found near their Westsyde home nine days later.
The 36-year-old man was granted bail with a number of conditions last month.
In court Thursday (Feb. 6), Donovan’s lawyer indicated he wishes to be tried in front of a judge and jury.
His next court date is set for February 20 to set a date for a pre-trial conference.
