KAMLOOPS — The Kamloops Pulp Mill will test its alarm systems and hold an evacuation drill Thursday (May 16) morning.
In a news release issued at 7:40 a.m. Thursday, Kruger Inc., the owner of the Kamloops Pulp Mill, says the test and evacuation drill will start at 8:00 a.m. and is expected to last around 60 minutes. Nearby residents may hear the alarms.
Kruger says it’s part of the mill’s emergency response procedures.
