City of Kamloops putting finishing touches on Canada Day celebration — including fireworks

KAMLOOPS — The star attraction will be back for this year’s Canada Day celebration in Kamloops — fireworks.
The City of Kamloops says festivities at Riverside Park will kick off at 7:00 a.m. Saturday (July 1) with a pancake breakfast.
Throughout the day, there will be performances, artisans and a variety of other attractions at the park to celebrate the country’s 156th birthday.
The fireworks display will take place at dusk (around 9:30 p.m.), depending on if the weather cooperates.
The City of Kamloops has not hosted a fireworks display on Canada Day since 2019 due to COVID-19 (2020) and fire concerns (2021 and 2022).
B.C. Transit service will be free on Saturday and the city encourages attendees to use alternative transportation methods to get to the park.
