Prized French Bulldog, presumed stolen, returned to Cherry Creek family
KAMLOOPS — Nearly three weeks after she was stolen, a prized French Bulldog has been returned to her Cherry Creek family.
Whisper, a long-haired Frenchy, was discovered missing on the morning of Jan. 12. RCMP said they believed she was stolen and her owners offered a $5,000 reward for her safe return.
Her family described Whisper as a prized breeding dog and said she had recently given birth to a litter of puppies.
In a social media message posted Tuesday evening (Jan. 31), owner Jennifer De Lisi says Whisper was dropped off at a veterinarian’s office and subsequently returned to the family.
Kamloops RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Crystal Evelyn says a member of the public contacted Tk’emlups Rural RCMP, saying they had located a dog believed to be Whisper. The detachment arranged for the person to drop Whisper off at a local veterinarian clinic, where her identity was confirmed through her microchip.
Evelyn says the investigation into Whisper’s theft remains open.
