Vehicle incident closes Highway 97 near Monte Creek

KAMLOOPS — A vehicle incident has Highway 97 between Kamloops and Vernon closed in both directions Tuesday (Jan. 31).

DriveBC first reported of the incident nearly three kilometres east of Monte Creek at around 11:30 a.m.

Drivers are told to expect major delays on the stretch of Highway 97, and drive to winter conditions.

A detour is in effect via Barnhartvale Road.
