Kamloops RCMP members busy with business break-ins early Tuesday
KAMLOOPS — Kamloops RCMP are looking into a pair of unrelated business break-ins from early Tuesday morning (Jan. 17).
The first occurred around 1:20 a.m. at an Athabasca Street address. In a news release, detachment spokesperson Cpl. Crystal Evelyn says a truck was stolen from the business and rammed through the gates. The dark-coloured pickup truck is likely to have front-end damage.
Evelyn says a short time later, police were called to Brocklehurst.
“In what appears to be an unrelated incident, police were soon after called to a business alarm on the 2000-block of Parkcrest Avenue,” she said. “A front door was smashed and a nearby vehicle had a window broken, but nothing appeared to be taken.”
Evelyn notes video taken from the area recorded a suspect who was in the area for about 30 minutes and committing mischief at 2:10 a.m.
