KAMLOOPS — Overlander Residential Care in Brocklehurst is dealing with its second COVID-19 outbreak.
Interior Health (IH) has added the facility to its online list, with a COVID-19 outbreak declared on its South Park Unit on Sunday (Jan. 30).
Overlander saw its first COVID-19 outbreak declared on Sept. 20, 2021. The outbreak lasted more than a month, ending on Nov. 2 with a total of 21 residents and seven staff cases and seven deaths associated with the outbreak.
Meantime, IH has confirmed a death has occurred at the other Kamloops care home experiencing an outbreak, Pine Grove Care Centre.
In an email to CFJC Today, IH says Pine Grove is dealing with nine staff cases and 20 resident cases.
