TNRD rescinds evacuation alert for Tobiano

KAMLOOPS — Tobiano residents have been given the all clear.

The Thompson-Nicola Regional District (TNRD) rescinded its evacuation alert Monday (Aug. 23) evening as the Tremont Creek wildfire no longer poses an imminent risk to the safety of residents.

Properties affected include all Tobiano address points, including:

• Cavesson Way
• Colebrook Road
• Holloway Drive
• Lake Point Court
• Marina Bay Road
• Old Paint Road
• Ranchlands Court
• Rue Cheval Noir
• 6177 to 6425 Trans-Canada Hwy
• any other properties located within the area noted on the attached map
  (Thompson-Nicola Regional District).

Should conditions change, the TNRD said an evacuation alert or order could be reinstated as necessary.
