KAMLOOPS – A lynx that was taken in for treatment at the BC Wildlife Park late last month has been released.
Conservation officers brought the lynx to the Fawcett Family Wildlife Health Centre after it was seen walking through the North Shore. The cat appeared to be acting abnormally.
The Wildlife Park found the lynx had fluid in its abdomen and later discovered a four-centimetre-long twig lodged in its upper eye socket.
After having the twig removed and a round of antibiotics, the lynx is doing much better.
He has been released in an undisclosed location that the Wildlife Park says is much more suitable for his species.
