Will & Grace is back
NBC has officially ordered 10-episodes of a Will & Grace series revival that will reunite stars Debra Messing, Eric McCormack, Sean Hayes and Megan Mullally, the network announced Wednesday.
Original series creators Max Mutchnick and David Kohan will act as showrunners and executive producers, while legendary TV director James Burrows, who helmed every episode of the show during its initial run, is also onboard to direct and executive produce.
- “We’re thrilled that one of the smartest, funniest, and most defining comedies in NBC history is coming back,” said NBC Entertainment Chairman Robert Greenblatt. “This groundbreaking series for everything from gay rights to social and political commentary — all disguised as a high-speed train of witty pop culture — is coming back where it belongs.”
BEYONCE PROMOTES WOMEN'S MARCH IN PROTEST OF DONALD TRUMP'S INAUGURATION
Beyonce has taken to social media to promote the upcoming Women’s March in Washington, D.C. — which is an initiative against president-elect, Donald Trump. Bey posted the flyer to Facebook, with a caption that said, “Together with Chime for Change, we raise our voices as mothers, as artists, and as activists. As #GlobalCitizens, we can make our voices heard and turn awareness into meaningful action and positive change. #WomensMarch.”
The march is set to take place this Saturday (January 21st), one day after Trump’s inauguration ceremony.

DRAKE IS GETTING CLOSE TO J.LO'S KIDS
It looks like things are progressing between Drake and Jennifer Lopez. Rumor has it that the rapper is getting close to her eight-year-old twins Max and Emme. A source told US Weekly, “Drake has been hanging out at Jennifer’s new house in Bel Air. He has been there several times and is getting to know her kids.”
The source added, “They all have a lot of fun together. Her kids really like him and they know all of his songs. They like having him around.”
- Meanwhile, E! Online reported that the two enjoyed a date night on the rooftop terrace at the Catch LA restaurant in West Hollywood on Tuesday night (January 17th). A source said that during the date, "they were acting very cute and couple-y. They were extremely nice to the staff and really enjoyed themselves."
- The source also told the site that the two "are not seeing anyone else but each other" adding, "Drake is in it all the way. J.Lo is peddling slower but still really enjoys his fun and loving company."
LADY GAGA PERFORMING ‘BAD ROMANCE’ AT THE SUPER BOWL?: A newly released behind-the-scenes clip has revealed that Lady Gaga might be performing “Bad Romance” at the upcoming Super Bowl halftime show. In the clip, Gaga’s dancers are seen rehearsing to the hit record. The singer was also quoted in the promo video, saying, “It’s such a big world stage in terms of how many people see it and it’s been done so many times… I think the challenge is to look at it and say, ‘what can I do differently? How can I elevate certain little things here and there and also make it about the music.’” She added, “This is where I’m supposed to be.”
JOHN LEGEND TO PERFORM AT THE GRAMMYS: John Legend is set to perform at the 2017 Grammy Awards. In addition to Legend, Metallica, Carrie Underwood and Keith Urban will also perform. The 59th annual Grammy Awards will air live from the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Sunday, February 12th, at 8 p.m. ET on CBS.

AMAZON SNAPS UP GRATEFUL DEAD DOCUMENTARY: Amazon Studios has bought Long Strange Trip, a four-hour documentary about the Grateful Dead from Amir Bar-Lev (The Tillman Story) and executive producer Martin Scorsese. The film will debut on May 26th on Amazon. The documentary will showcase never-before-seen footage and interviews while examining the ambitions and interpersonal dynamics that drove the band for 30 plus years.
THE DISCOVERY TRAILER RELEASED TEASING JASON SEGEL, ROONEY MARA ROMANCE: Netflix's sci-fi romance The Discovery will delve into questions of whether or not the existence of an afterlife can be proven. The show stars Jason Segel, Rooney Mara, and Robert Redford and the evocative teaser trailer, set to the Roy Orbison ballad "Only the Lonely," hints at an intense relationship between Segel and Mara. The show premieres Friday at the Sundance Film Festival and will be released on Netflix on March 31.
CBS ORDERS PILOTS FOR MARK FEUERSTEIN COMEDY, ANDY WEIR DRAMA: CBS is lining up pilots for a comedy dubbed 9J, 9K and 9L starring and produced by Mark Feuerstein and an astronaut drama produced by The Martian author Andy Weir. The Feuerstein comedy is inspired by the time he lived in apartment 9K as a young adult – sandwiched between his parents in 9J and his brother, sister-in-law and their baby in 9L. The drama, dubbed Mission Control, will track the next generation of NASA astronauts as they juggle their personal and professional life during a critical mission.
SHONDALAND LEGAL DRAMA GREENLIGHTED AT ABC: An as-yet-untitled new Shondaland legal drama will get the pilot treatment at ABC. The pilot hails from Scandal writer Paul William Davies and will be set in the Southern District of New York Federal Court, aka "The Mother Court." It will follow newbie lawyers working for the defense and prosecution and the ways in which their personal and professional lives intersect. Shonda Rhimes and Betsy Beers will executive produce, along with Davies, who will also be penning the script.
FIRST IMAGE OF JULIA ROBERTS AS A SMURF IS UNVEILED: Well that's just Smurfy! Oscar-winning actress Julia Roberts has joined the cast of the upcoming animated comedy Smurfs: The Lost Village. She will voice the new character SmurfWillow, People reports. Julia tells the mag: "They were popular when I was a child and they were popular when my kids were little. It’s fun to be part of such a sweet group that continues to entertain young people." Roberts joins Demi Lovato (Smurfette), Rainn Wilson (Gargamel) and Mandy Patinkin (Papa Smurf).
ALANIS MORISSETTE'S FORMER MANAGER ADMITS TO EMBEZZLING $5M: Jonathan Todd Schwartz has admitted in court papers filed Wednesday that he swindled $4.8 million from singer Alanis Morissette. Schwartz was Alanis' manager and she wasn't the only client he embezzled money from. Overall, he confessed to stealing $6.5 million from clients, according to reports. His admission of wrongdoing comes as part of a plea deal. Alanis sued Schwartz last year after discovering the missing funds. (New York Magazine)

FULLER HOUSE CAST WEIGHS IN ON SERIES CREATOR BUYING SET HOUSE: The creator of Full House, Jeff Franklin, recently bought the iconic house that served as a set-piece for the sitcom. Stars from the rebooted series, Fuller House, weighed in on the move Wednesday night at the People's Choice Awards. Candace Cameron Bure tells ET: "It's so incredible. That now the Full and Fuller House house is in the family." Bob Sagat adds that to honor the show's 30th anniversary, the cast is planning a massive slumber party at the home.
