Special guest Al Deacon joined us this morning for Test A Wine Tuesday with a delicious Red Blend called Raven Conspiracy Deep Dark Red. The Raven clicks into the ‘dark red blend’ trend that is going on with California reds. Sort of the darker the better, showing a bit more intensity and upfront drinkability. Deep purple colour; aromatic and spicy, with raspberry and blueberry notes; medium dry, with balanced acidity and soft tannins. Can be a good sipper with the hockey game or with BBQ fare, casseroles, or pulled pork sandwiches.
